My professional journey started out in 2016 with an internship in a small advertising agency — a collision of two different worlds, right after finishing my college degree in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon. It was clear to me that my future wasn't in advertising agencies, so I embraced a new challenge working as a Graphic Designer in a wine exporting company based in Lisbon, where I was able to explore many design fields and developed a particular interest for digital design, which propelled my next challenge.
Over the course of 5 years, I've worked as a freelance designer for several clients around the world, and helped build timeless and meaningful design solutions. My solid graphic design skills and strategic thinking allowed me to bring beautiful and consistent work to life.
Today, I am dedicated full-time to Automattic where I design WordPress themes and contribute to the WordPress open source project.
Although I keep an eye on trends, I'm more into timeless designs and I aim for a balanced and purposeful life. I enjoy working remotely and I'm driven by great aesthetics and ancient wisdom.
My work has been published in online publications and websites such as the Semplice Showcase, The Gallery and Mindsparkle Mag.
